Underwater World

Wandering along a beach there are unlimited natural treasures to be found washed up on the sand. Each object is unique and facinating. Equally facinating is the channels of water from changing tides that travel around these discarded new obstacles. 'Beachcombing' is a collection of mixed media illustrations focused on the natural interactions between unmoving natural objects and the constant flow of water and corrosion of sand around them.

This large impactful acrylic on canvas painting is part of the beachcombing collection. the viewer is peering straight down into a rockpool and gets a glipse of another world full of life. the artwork shows the channels of movement in sand within the space. it is also home to a camoflaging crab, beautiful coloured plantlife and a cheeky illusive blue ringed octopus.
