Arrangement on sand
Wandering along a beach there are unlimited natural treasures to be found washed up on the sand. Each object is unique and facinating. Equally facinating is the channels of water from changing tides that travel around these discarded new obstacles. 'Beachcombing' is a collection of mixed media illustrations focused on the natural interactions between unmoving natural objects and the constant flow of water and corrosion of sand around them.
A vibrant arrangement of plant material as seen lying on the beach. This artwork is part of the ‘Beach combing’ collection and exhibition.
It depicts a contrast of colour against sand and the intricate channels created by each leaf as the seawater washes over it.This Bold, detailed illustration appears as thought it was arranged that way by human hands however it is a intruiging example of how plant materials are arranged by the movement of waves.
