Artist Statement:
After a recent trip to Europe and walking through the cobblestoned streets I was captured by the small plants growing in even the tiniest crevices. It brought up ideas about resilience, overcoming challenges and feelings of hopefulness in the face of difficulty. This led to several mixed media artworks exploring the symbolism of these determined plants in a human made environment.
