The month of March was a busy one for me. For starters I was artist in residence for the Meeniyan ArtCubes. This was essentially one of 3 pop up gallery/studio spaces in the town of Meeniyan where I was able to sell my art, create work and interact with the public.
I had a truely wonderful time being a part of this vibrant artsy community.
I really enjoyed connecting with the other artists and I was able to sell a lot of my work, so all in all a success! (I even had to keep bringing more art to fill the walls and my first one sold before I even finished hanging the first day! Not a bad problem to have!)
Towards the end of the residency I was offered another opportunity to exhibit my art in a local cafe run by one of my cousins. This meant that when I was packing up the ArtCube I was able to move a selection of work across the road and rehang it straight onto another wall!
This also took away some of the sadness that comes on an exhibition pack up day as it felt more like moving than ending.
This selection of Beach themed work is currently on display at The Bread and Pickle Cafe in Meeniyan.
