Compared with previous exhibition set ups, this one was a unique experience with new challenges.
Not only was I displaying my artwork in light boxes in the side of library but I was also displaying what I call my museum pieces on rustic wooden plinths complete with information plaques made of foam core.
This display required a different type of planning more akin to visual merchandising or sculptural art installation.
Delicate natural objects were balanced somewhat precariously on the plinths giving a dynamic element to the display. This was also challenged by the wind and rain funnelling through Garner Lane that day.
With the help of the wonderful staff at City of Greater Dandenong aswell as my super supportive partner we had a fun and creative afternoon and have put together an art show that is both educational and aesthetically pleasing. I really hope it brings joy to the community for its duration.
