Neeni Creations is the artistic endeavor of Janine Durston (AKA Jay Neeni), a Multi Disiplanary Visual Artist and Illustrator with extensive experience working in the City of Greater Dandenong. She has showcased her work through solo exhibitions, public art projects and residencies.Currently working from her Studio in Gippsland she intends to continue her journey as a creative explorer.Janine takes pride in her role as an artist and strives to foster community engagement through her creations. Her art draws inspiration from naturally found objects, intricate details in nature, and rich symbolism. Her artistic goal is to ignite curiosity about the beauty and complexities of the natural world. She skillfully contrasts sharp illustrations with organic lines and abstract backgrounds, while color plays a vital role in her pieces, bolstered by her background in color mixing and consultancy. Janine aims to guide viewers on a journey of exploration and discovery through layers of fine detail, a keen understanding of light, and elements of serendipitous play. Her embrace of mixed media further enhances the depth of her illustrations, resulting in a fluid, organic style that evokes movement across the canvas, reminiscent of Art Nouveau, with subjects chosen for their symbolic significance.
